(91) The Unbelievers say: "We shall neither believe in this scripture nor in (any) that (came) before it." Couldst thou but see when the wrong-doers will be made to stand before their Lord, throwing back the word (of blame) on one another! Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!"

(92) If any do seek for glory and power,- to Allah belong all glory and power. To Him mount up (all) words of Purity: It is He Who exalts each Deed of Righteousness. Those that lay Plots of Evil,- for them is a Penalty terrible; and the plotting of such will be void (of result).

(93) The word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe.

(94) They will say: "Ah! Woe unto us! Who hath raised us up from our beds of repose?"... (A voice will say:) "This is what (Allah) Most Gracious had promised. And true was the word of the messengers!"

(95) "Peace!" - a word (of salutation) from a Lord Most Merciful!

(96) "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins).

(97) Already has Our word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us),

(98) Those who listen to the word, and follow the best (meaning) in it: those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones endued with understanding.

(99) We certainly gave Moses the Book aforetime: but disputes arose therein. Had it not been for a word that went forth before from thy Lord, (their differences) would have been settled between them: but they remained in suspicious disquieting doubt thereon.

(100) And they became divided only after Knowledge reached them,- through selfish envy as between themselves. Had it not been for a word that went forth before from thy Lord, (tending) to a Term appointed, the matter would have been settled between them: But truly those who have inherited the Book after them are in suspicious (disquieting) doubt concerning it.
