(142) So We inspired him (with this message): "Construct the Ark within Our sight and under Our guidance: then when comes Our Command, and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family- except those of them against whom the Word has already gone forth: And address Me not in favour of the wrong-doers; for they shall be drowned (in the Flood).

(143) "He is only a man who invents a lie against Allah, but we are not the ones to believe in him!"

(144) Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,-

(145) And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned.

(146) And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations),- flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors;-

(147) And for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own,- their solitary evidence (can be received) if they bear witness four times (with an oath) by Allah that they are solemnly telling the truth;

(148) Let not those among you who are endued with grace and amplitude of means resolve by oath against helping their kinsmen, those in want, and those who have left their homes in Allah's cause: let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(149) On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions.

(150) Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an).
