(161) The only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allah (His Words, the Qur'an) and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), to judge between them, is that they say: "We hear and we obey." And such are the successful (who will live forever in Paradise).

(162) And as for women past child-bearing who do not expect wed-lock, it is no sin on them if they discard their (outer) clothing in such a way as not to show their adornment. But to refrain (i.e. not to discard their outer clothing) is better for them. And Allah is All-hearer, All-Knower.

(163) When it (Hell) sees them from a far place, they will hear its raging and its roaring.

(164) And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in 23 years.).

(165) Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are only like cattle - nay, they are even farther astray from the Path (i.e. even worse than cattle).

(166) [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?"

(167) He said: "Do they hear you, when you call on (them)?

(168) Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)]."

(169) Upon your heart (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) that you may be (one) of the warners,

(170) Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Qur'an) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners).
