(11) What! now! and indeed you disobeyed before and you were of the mischief-makers.

(12) Their apostles said: Is there doubt about Allah, the maker of the heavens and the earth? He invites you to forgive you your faults and to respite you till an appointed term. They said: You are nothing but mortals like us; you wish to turn us away from what our fathers used to worship; bring us therefore some clear authority.

(13) And they denied them unjustly and proudly while their soul had been convinced of them; consider, then how was the end of the mischief-makers.

(14) Surely Firon exalted himself in the land and made its people into parties, weakening one party from among them; he slaughtered their sons and let their women live; surely he was one of the mischiefmakers.

(15) And seek by means of what Allah has given you the future abode, and do not neglect your portion of this world, and do good (to others) as Allah has done good to you, and do not seek to make mischief in the land, surely Allah does not love the mischief-makers.

(16) O people! guard against (the punishment of) your Lord and dread the day when a father shall not make any satisfaction for his son, nor shall the child be the maker of any satisfaction for his father; surely the promise of Allah is true, therefore let not this world's life deceive you, nor let the archdeceiver deceive you in respect of Allah.

(17) All praise is due to Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, the maker of the angels, apostles flying on wings, two, and three, and four; He increases in creation what He pleases; surely Allah has power over all things.

(18) Shall We treat those who believe and do good like the mischief-makers in the earth? Or shall We make those who guard (against evil) like the wicked?

(19) And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most surely We are the makers of things ample.

(20) Surely We sent upon them a single cry, so they were like the dry fragments of trees which the maker of an enclosure collects.
