(41) And indeed We revealed to Musa (Moses) (saying): "Travel by night with Ibadi (My slaves) and strike a dry path for them in the sea, fearing neither to be overtaken [by Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] nor being afraid (of drowning in the sea)."

(42) So bear patiently (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) what they say, and glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting, and during some hours of the night, and at the ends of the day (an indication for the five compulsory congregational prayers), that you may become pleased (with the reward which Allah shall give you).

(43) They (i.e. the angels) glorify His Praises night and day, (and) they never slacken (to do so).

(44) And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating.

(45) Say: "Who can guard and protect you in the night or in the day from the (punishment of the) Most Gracious (Allah)?" Nay, but they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord.

(46) And (remember) Dawud (David) and Sulaiman (Solomon), when they gave judgement in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night; and We were witness to their judgement.

(47) And those who disbelieved will not cease to be in doubt about it (this Qur'an) until the Hour comes suddenly upon them, or there comes to them the torment of the Day after which there will be no night (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).

(48) That is because Allah merges the night into the day, and He merges the day into the night. And verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer.

(49) In pride (they - Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary - Haram), talking evil about it (the Qur'an) by night.

(50) And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand?
