(201) Have they not travelled in the earth and seen how was the end of those who were before them? Mightier than these were they in strength-- and in fortifications in the land, but Allah destroyed them for their sins; and there was not for them any defender against Allah.

(202) Whoever does an evil, he shall not be recompensed (with aught) but the like of it, and whoever does good, whether male or female, and he is a believer, these shall enter the garden, in which they shall be given sustenance without measure.

(203) Have they not then journeyed in the land and seen how was the end of those before them? They were more (in numbers) than these and greater in strength and in fortifications in the land, but what they earned did not avail them.

(204) And if We had made it a Quran in a foreign tongue, they would certainly have said: Why have not its communications been made clear? What! a foreign (tongue) and an Arabian! Say: It is to those who believe a guidance and a healing; and (as for) those who do not believe, there is a heaviness in their ears and it is obscure to them; these shall be called to from a far-off place.

(205) And whoever defends himself after his being oppressed, these it is against whom there is no way (to blame).

(206) The way (to blame) is only against those who oppress men and revolt in the earth unjustly; these shall have a painful punishment.

(207) And whoever is patient and forgiving, these most surely are actions due to courage.

(208) Then We destroyed those who were stronger than these in prowess, and the case of the ancients has gone before,

(209) And Firon proclaimed amongst his people: O my people! is not the kingdom of Egypt mine? And these rivers flow beneath me; do you not then see?

(210) Then he called upon his Lord: these are a guilty people.
