(261) Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful?

(262) Lo! this is certain truth.

(263) Is not the time ripe for the hearts of those who believe to submit to Allah's reminder and to the truth which is revealed, that they become not as those who received the scripture of old but the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened, and many of them are evil-livers.

(264) O ye who believe! Choose not My enemy and your enemy for allies. Do ye give them friendship when they disbelieve in that truth which hath come unto you, driving out the messenger and you because ye believe in Allah, your Lord? If ye have come forth to strive in My way and seeking My good pleasure, (show them not friendship). Do ye show friendship unto them in secret, when I am Best Aware of what ye hide and what ye proclaim? And whosoever doeth it among you, he verily hath strayed from the right way.

(265) He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may make it conqueror of all religion however much idolaters may be averse.

(266) Say (O Muhammad): O ye who are Jews! If ye claim that ye are favoured of Allah apart from (all) mankind, then long for death if ye are truthful.

(267) He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He shaped you and made good your shapes, and unto Him is the journeying.

(268) And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful?

(269) They said: Alas for us! In truth we were outrageous.

(270) Or have they other gods? Then let them bring their other gods if they are truthful
