(451) And do not think Allah to be heedless of what the unjust do; He only respites them to a day on which the eyes shall be fixedly open,

(452) And warn people of the day when the chastisement shall come to them, then those who were unjust will say: O our Lord! respite us to a near term, (so) we shall respond to Thy call and follow the apostles. what! did you not swear before (that) there will be no passing away for you!

(453) That Allah may requite each soul (according to) what it has earned; surely Allah is swift in reckoning.

(454) He said: O Iblis! what excuse have you that you are not with those who make obeisance?

(455) And We will root out whatever of rancor is in their breasts-- (they shall be) as brethren, on raised couches, face to face.

(456) He said: Do you give me good news (of a son) when old age has come upon me?-- Of what then do you give me good news!

(457) He said: what is your business then, O apostles?

(458) Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed.

(459) And what they earned did not avail them.

(460) And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness.
