They were covered with humiliation and misery; they drew on themselves the wrath of Allah. This because they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah and slaying His Messengers without just cause. This because they rebelled and went on transgressing.

(2) And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white to all beholders!

(3) When thy Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"- They said: "Yea! We do testify!" (This), lest ye should say on the Day of Judgment: "Of this we were never mindful":

(4) Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.

(5) So Pharaoh withdrew: He concerted his plan, and then came (back).

(6) And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders!
