(32) And corn-fields and noble buildings,

(33) Say: "See ye? If (this teaching) be from Allah, and ye reject it, and a witness from among the Children of Israel testifies to its similarity (with earlier scripture), and has believed while ye are arrogant, (how unjust ye are!) truly, Allah guides not a people unjust."

(34) But (there is one) who says to his parents, "fie on you! Do ye hold out the promise to me that I shall be raised up, even though generations have passed before me (without rising again)?" And they two seek Allah's aid, (and rebuke the son): "Woe to thee! Have faith! for the promise of Allah is true." But he says, "This is nothing but tales of the ancients!"

(35) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on.

(36) The (Prophet's) (mind and) heart in no way falsified that which he saw.

(37) (They will be) in the midst of a fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water,

(38) They will not fight you (even) together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. Strong is their fighting (spirit) amongst themselves: thou wouldst think they were united, but their hearts are divided: that is because they are a people devoid of wisdom.

(39) And Mary the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations, and was one of the devout (servants).

(40) "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze.
