(22) And if We had so willed, We could have given every soul its guidance, but the word from Me concerning evildoers took effect: that I will fill hell with the jinn and mankind together.

(23) And when thou saidst unto him on whom Allah hath conferred favour and thou hast conferred favour: Keep thy wife to thyself, and fear Allah. And thou didst hide in thy mind that which Allah was to bring to light, and thou didst fear mankind whereas Allah hath a better right that thou shouldst fear Him. So when Zeyd had performed that necessary formality (of divorce) from her, We gave her unto thee in marriage, so that (henceforth) there may be no sin for believers in respect of wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have performed the necessary formality (of release) from them. The commandment of Allah must be fulfilled.

(24) And they say: When is this promise (to be fulfilled) if ye are truthful?

(25) Those who were despised say unto those who were proud: Nay but (it was your) scheming night and day, when ye commanded us to disbelieve in Allah and set up rivals unto Him. And they are filled with remorse when they behold the doom; and We place carcans on the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they requited aught save what they used to do?

(26) And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful?

(27) To warn whosoever liveth, and that the word may be fulfilled against the disbelievers.

(28) Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom).

(29) And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith.

(30) Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good.
