(36) And why did ye not, when ye heard it, say? - "It is not right of us to speak of this: glory to Allah! this is a most serious slander!"

(37) They will say: "glory to Thee! not meet was it for us that we should take for protectors others besides Thee: But Thou didst bestow, on them and their fathers, good things (in life), until they forgot the Message: for they were a people (worthless and) lost."

(38) But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

(39) Thy Lord does create and choose as He pleases: no choice have they (in the matter): glory to Allah! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!

(40) So (give) glory to Allah, when ye reach eventide and when ye rise in the morning;
