(71) Allah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the land, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieves after this, they are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

(72) Consider not that the disbelievers can escape in the land. Their abode shall be the Fire - and worst indeed is that destination.

(73) That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give to drink thereof many of the cattle and men that We had created.

(74) "He wants to drive you out of your land by his sorcery: what is it then that you command?"

(75) "Who make mischief in the land, and reform not."

(76) "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land.

(77) And there were in the city nine men (from the sons of their chiefs), who made mischief in the land, and would not reform.

(78) Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain)? Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? High Exalted be Allah above all that they associate as partners (to Him)!

(79) Say to them (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) "Travel in the land and see how has been the end of the Mujrimun (criminals, those who denied Allah's Messengers and disobeyed Allah)."

(80) Verily, Fir'aun (Pharaoh) exalted himself in the land and made its people sects, weakening (oppressing) a group (i.e. Children of Israel) among them: killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the Mufsidun (i.e. those who commit great sins and crimes, oppressors, tyrants).
