(61) And they swore by Allah with the strongest of their oaths that if there came to them a warner they would be better guided than any of the nations; but when there came to them a warner it increased them in naught but aversion.

(62) Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations.

(63) It is nothing but a reminder to the nations;

(64) The people of Nuh and the parties after them rejected (prophets) before them, and every nation purposed against their apostle to destroy him, and they disputed by means of the falsehood that they might thereby render null the truth, therefore I destroyed them; how was then My retribution!

(65) And We have appointed for them comrades so they have made fair-seeming to them what is before them and what is behind them, and the word proved true against them-- among the nations of the jinn and the men that have passed away before them-- that they shall surely be losers.

(66) And were it not that all people had been a single nation, We would certainly have assigned to those who disbelieve in the Beneficent Allah (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs by which they ascend.

(67) And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations.

(68) And certainly We gave the Book and the wisdom and the prophecy to the children of Israel, and We gave them of the goodly things, and We made them excel the nations.

(69) And you shall see every nation kneeling down; every nation shall be called to its book: today you shall be rewarded for what you did.

(70) These are they against whom the word has proved true among nations of the jinn and the men that have already passed away before them; surely they are losers.
