(61) And that He it is Who causes death and gives life-

(62) His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death; and He has power over all things.

(63) He causes the night to enter in upon the day, and causes the day to enter in upon the night, and He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts.

(64) He it is Who caused those who disbelieved of the followers of the Book to go forth from their homes at the first banishment you did not think that they would go forth, while they were certain that their fortresses would defend them against Allah; but Allah came to them whence they did not expect, and cast terror into their hearts; they demolished their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers; therefore take a lesson, O you who have eyes!

(65) O Prophet! when you divorce women, divorce them for~ their prescribed time, and calculate the number of the days prescribed, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, your Lord. Do not drive them out of their houses, nor should they themselves go forth, unless they commit an open indecency; and these are the limits of Allah, and whoever goes beyond the limits of Allah, he indeed does injustice to his own soul. You do not know that Allah may after that bring about reunion.

(66) O you who disbelieve! do not urge excuses today; you shall be rewarded only according to what you did.

(67) Though he puts forth his excuses.

(68) And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses.

(69) Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave,
