(32) And between them and their desires, is placed a barrier, as was done in the past with their partisans: for they were indeed in suspicious (disquieting) doubt.

(33) And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see.

(34) And among His Signs in this: thou seest the earth barren and desolate; but when We send down rain to it, it is stirred to life and yields increase. Truly, He Who gives life to the (dead) earth can surely give life to (men) who are dead. For He has power over all things.

(35) Or He bestows both males and females, and He leaves barren whom He will: for He is full of Knowledge and Power.

(36) But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!"

(37) No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare.

(38) Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress:

(39) O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty?-

(40) But when they see some bargain or some amusement, they disperse headlong to it, and leave thee standing. Say: "The (blessing) from the Presence of Allah is better than any amusement or bargain! and Allah is the Best to provide (for all needs)."
