(231) Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children,

(232) In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night.

(233) Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe.

(234) Haply I may do good in that which I have left. by no means! it is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is a barrier until the day they are raised.

(235) And they swear by Allah with the most energetic of their oaths that if you command them they would certainly go forth. Say: Swear not; reasonable obedience (is desired); surely Allah is aware of what you do.

(236) And those who disbelieve say: Why has not the Quran been revealed to him all at once? Thus, that We may strengthen your heart by it and We have arranged it well in arranging.

(237) And certainly they have (often) passed by the town on which was rained an evil rain; did they not then see it? Nay! they did not hope to be raised again.

(238) Then We take it to Ourselves, taking little by little.

(239) That We may give life thereby to a dead land and give it for drink, out of what We have created, to cattle and many people.

(240) And He it is Who has made two seas to flow freely, the one sweet that subdues thirst by its sweetness, and the other salt that burns by its saltness; and between the two He has made a barrier and inviolable obstruction.
