(163) O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong.

(164) And listen for the Day when the caller will call out from a place quiet near,-

(165) "Truly, we did call unto Him from of old: truly it is He, the Beneficent, the Merciful!"

(166) Therefore, (O Prophet,) turn away from them. The Day that the caller will call (them) to a terrible affair,

(167) Hastening, with eyes transfixed, towards the caller!- "Hard is this Day!", the Unbelievers will say.

(168) Then he called on his Lord: "I am one overcome: do Thou then help (me)!"

(169) But they called to their companion, and he took a sword in hand, and hamstrung (her).

(170) Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,-
