(22) Man says: "What! When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?"

(23) Or have they taken (for worship) gods from the earth who can raise (the dead)?

(24) This is so, because Allah is the Reality: it is He Who gives life to the dead, and it is He Who has power over all things.

(25) Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong!

(26) That with it We may give life to a dead land, and slake the thirst of things We have created,- cattle and men in great numbers.

(27) The Unbelievers say: "What! when we become dust,- we and our fathers,- shall we really be raised (from the dead)?

(28) Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat.

(29) It is He Who brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living, and Who gives life to the earth after it is dead: and thus shall ye be brought out (from the dead).

(30) And among His Signs, He shows you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope, and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: verily in that are Signs for those who are wise.
