Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses!

(32) But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots.

(33) So We sent this inspiration to the mother of Moses: "Suckle (thy child), but when thou hast fears about him, cast him into the river, but fear not nor grieve: for We shall restore him to thee, and We shall make him one of Our messengers."

(34) Thus did We restore him to his mother, that her eye might be comforted, that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the promise of Allah is true: but most of them do not understand.

(35) And when Our Messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account, and felt himself powerless (to protect) them: but they said: "Fear thou not, nor grieve: we are (here) to save thee and thy following, except thy wife: she is of those who lag behind.

(36) But if any reject Faith, let not his rejection grieve thee: to Us is their return, and We shall tell them the truth of their deeds: for Allah knows well all that is in (men's) hearts.

(37) Let not their speech, then, grieve thee. Verily We know what they hide as well as what they disclose.

(38) But Allah will deliver the righteous to their place of salvation: no evil shall touch them, nor shall they grieve.

(39) In the case of those who say, "Our Lord is Allah", and, further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): "Fear ye not!" (they suggest), "Nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss), the which ye were promised!

(40) My devotees! no fear shall be on you that Day, nor shall ye grieve,-
