(112) And they who believe and whose seed follow them in faith, We cause their seed to join them (there), and We deprive them of nought of their (life's) work. Every man is a pledge for that which he hath earned.

(113) But unto Allah belongeth the after (life), and the former.

(114) Then withdraw (O Muhammad) from him who fleeth from Our remembrance and desireth but the life of the world.

(115) And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life;

(116) Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight.

(117) Know that the life of the world is only play, and idle talk, and pageantry, and boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children; as the likeness of vegetation after rain, whereof the growth is pleasing to the husbandman, but afterward it drieth up and thou seest it turning yellow, then it becometh straw. And in the Hereafter there is grievous punishment, and (also) forgiveness from Allah and His good pleasure, whereas the life of the world is but matter of illusion.

(118) Lodge them where ye dwell, according to your wealth, and harass them not so as to straiten life for them. And if they are with child, then spend for them till they bring forth their burden. Then, if they give suck for you, give them their due payment and consult together in kindness; but if ye make difficulties for one another, then let some other woman give suck for him (the father of the child).

(119) Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving,

(120) And then severed his life-artery,
