(65) "There is nothing but our life in this world! We shall die and we live! But we shall never be raised up again!

(66) "Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!"

(67) But the Unbelievers,- their deeds are like a mirage in sandy deserts, which the man parched with thirst mistakes for water; until when he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing: But he finds Allah (ever) with him, and Allah will pay him his account: and Allah is swift in taking account.

(68) Yet have they taken, besides him, gods that can create nothing but are themselves created; that have no control of hurt or good to themselves; nor can they control death nor life nor resurrection.

(69) "It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients."

(70) When Moses came to them with Our clear signs, they said: "This is nothing but sorcery faked up: never did we head the like among our fathers of old!"
