That was (one) of the portents of Allah. He whom Allah guideth, he indeed is led aright, and he whom He sendeth astray, for him thou wilt not find a guiding friend.

(13) If We had wished to find a pastime, We could have found it in Our presence - if We ever did.

(14) As for women past child-bearing, who have no hope of marriage, it is no sin for them if they discard their (outer) clothing in such a way as not to show adornment. But to refrain is better for them. Allah is Hearer, Knower.

(15) And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel.

(16) He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)?

(17) This life of the world is but a pastime and a game. Lo! the home of the Hereafter - that is Life, if they but knew.

(18) And of mankind is he who payeth for mere pastime of discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and maketh it the butt of mockery. For such there is a shameful doom.

(19) And We assigned them comrades (in the world), who made their present and their past fairseeming unto them. And the Word concerning nations of the jinn and humankind who passed away before them hath effect for them. Lo! they were ever losers.

(20) And We made them a thing past, and an example for those after (them).
