(122) Early on the morrow an abiding punishment seized them:

(123) One Day will the Hypocrites- men and women - say to the Believers: "Wait for us! Let us borrow (a Light) from your Light!" It will be said: "Turn ye back to your rear! then seek a Light (where ye can)!" So a wall will be put up betwixt them, with a gate therein. Within it will be Mercy throughout, and without it, all alongside, will be (Wrath and) punishment!

(124) And had it not been that Allah had decreed banishment for them, He would certainly have punished them in this world: And in the Hereafter they shall (certainly) have the punishment of the Fire.

(125) That is because they resisted Allah and His Messenger: and if any one resists Allah, verily Allah is severe in punishment.

(126) What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from the people of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealthy among you. So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And fear Allah; for Allah is strict in punishment.

(127) How many populations that insolently opposed the Command of their Lord and of His messengers, did We not then call to account,- to severe account?- and We imposed on them an exemplary punishment.

(128) Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment (in the Hereafter). Therefore fear Allah, O ye men of understanding - who have believed!- for Allah hath indeed sent down to you a Message,-

(129) Such is the punishment (in this life); but greater is the punishment in the Hereafter,- if only they knew!

(130) Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them.
