(51) O my father! surely I fear that a punishment from the Beneficent Allah should afflict you so that you should be a friend of the shaitan.

(52) So by your Lord! We will most certainly gather them together and the shaitans, then shall We certainly cause them to be present round hell on their knees.

(53) Do you not see that We have sent the shaitans against the unbelievers, inciting them by incitement?

(54) But the shaitan made an evil suggestion to him; he said: O Adam! Shall I guide you to the tree of immortality and a kingdom which decays not?

(55) And among men there is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious shaitan;

(56) And We did not send before you any apostle or prophet, but when he desired, the shaitan made a suggestion respecting his desire; but Allah annuls that which the shaitan casts, then does Allah establish His communications, and Allah is Knowing, Wise,

(57) So that He may make what the shaitan casts a trial for those in whose hearts is disease and those whose hearts are hard; and most surely the unjust are in a great opposition,

(58) And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the shaitans;

(59) O you who believe! do not follow the footsteps of the shaitan, and whoever follows the footsteps of the shaitan, then surely he bids the doing of indecency and evil; and were it not for Allah's grace upon you and His mercy, not one of you would have ever been pure, but Allah purifies whom He pleases; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

(60) Certainly he led me astray from the reminder after it had come to me; and the shaitan fails to aid man.
