(23) He said: They are here on my track and I hastened on to thee, my Lord, that Thou mightest be pleased.

(24) And Yunus, when he went away in wrath, so he thought that We would not straiten him, so he called out among afflictions: There is no god but Thou, glory be to thee; surely I am of those who make themselves to suffer loss.

(25) And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in thee from the evil suggestions of the Shaitans;

(26) And I seek refuge in thee! O my Lord! from their presence.

(27) And why did you not, when you heard it, say: It does not beseem us that we should talk of it; glory be to thee! this is a great calumny?

(28) They shall say: Glory be to thee; it was not beseeming for us that we should take any guardians besides thee, but Thou didst make them and their fathers to enjoy until they forsook the reminder, and they were a people in perdition,

(29) Those against whom the sentence has become confirmed will say: Our Lord! these are they whom we caused to err; we caused them to err as we ourselves did err; to thee we declare ourselves to be clear (of them); they never served Us.

(30) They shall say: Glory be to thee! Thou art our Guardian, not they; nay! they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them.
