(1673) No, that is not like that! Verily, We have created them out of that which they know!

(1675) So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they meet their Day which they are promised -

(1676) With their eyes lowered in fear and humility, ignominy covering them (all over)! That is the Day which they were promised!

(1677) Verily, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people (saying): "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful torment."

(1678) And verily, every time I called unto them that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, and persisted (in their refusal), and magnified themselves in pride.

(1679) "Then verily, I called to them openly (aloud).

(1680) "Then verily, I proclaimed to them in public, and I have appealed to them in private.
