(142) Say: "Yea, those of old and those of later times,

(143) Has not the time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the Truth which has been revealed (to them), and that they should not become like those to whom was given Revelation aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors.

(144) We sent aforetime our messengers with Clear Signs and sent down with them the Book and the Balance (of Right and Wrong), that men may stand forth in justice; and We sent down Iron, in which is (material for) mighty war, as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help, Unseen, Him and His messengers: For Allah is Full of Strength, Exalted in Might (and able to enforce His Will).

(145) But to no soul will Allah grant respite when the time appointed (for it) has come; and Allah is well acquainted with (all) that ye do.

(146) Has not the story reached you, of those who rejected Faith aforetime? So they tasted the evil result of their conduct; and they had a grievous Penalty.

(147) Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out.

(148) Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?"

(149) Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public."

(150) "Go ye to your tilth (betimes) in the morning, if ye would gather the fruits."
