(2153) Verily, we sent Nuh (Noah) to his people (saying): "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful torment."

(2154) 'And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.'"

(2155) Nuh (Noah) said: "My Lord! They have disobeyed me, and followed one whose wealth and children give him no increase but loss.

(2156) Because of their sins they were drowned, then were made to enter the Fire. And they found none to help them instead of Allah.

(2157) Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinn listened (to this Qur'an). They said: 'Verily, we have heard a wonderful Recitation (this Qur'an)!

(2158) 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah).

(2159) 'And verily, we thought that men and jinn would not utter a lie against Allah.

(2160) 'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the males among the jinn, but they (jinn) increased them (mankind) in sin and transgression.
