(22) Now when Moses had fulfilled the term, and was travelling with his family, he perceived a fire in the direction of Mount Tur. He said to his family: "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; I hope to bring you from there some information, or a burning firebrand, that ye may warm yourselves."

(23) O ye who believe! Fear Allah, and (always) say a word directed to the Right:

(24) (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side,

(25) Those before them (also) rejected (revelation), and so the Punishment came to them from directions they did not perceive.

(26) Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error?

(27) That was because there came to them messengers with Clear Signs, but they said: "Shall (mere) human beings direct us?" So they rejected (the Message) and turned away. But Allah can do without (them): and Allah is free of all needs, worthy of all praise.

(28) Then leave Me alone with such as reject this Message: by degrees shall We punish them from directions they perceive not.
