(31) So they went on until when they came to the people of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused to entertain them as guests. Then they found in it a wall which was on the point of falling, so he put it into a right state. (Musa) said: If you had pleased, you might certainly have taken a recompense for it.

(32) Who should inherit me and inherit from the children of Yaqoub, and make him, my Lord, one in whom Thou art well pleased.

(33) And he enjoined on his family prayer and almsgiving, and was one in whom his Lord was well pleased.

(34) He said: They are here on my track and I hastened on to Thee, my Lord, that Thou mightest be pleased.

(35) On that day shall no intercession avail except of him whom the Beneficent Allah allows and whose word He is pleased with.

(36) Bear then patiently what they say, and glorify your Lord by the praising of Him before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during hours of the night do also glorify (Him) and during parts of the day, that you may be well pleased

(37) Then We made Our promise good to them, so We delivered them and those whom We pleased, and We destroyed the extravagant.

(38) He will certainly cause them to enter a place of entrance which they shall be well pleased with, and most surely Allah is Knowing, Forbearing.

(39) And the chiefs of those who disbelieved from among his people said: He is nothing but a mortal like yourselves who desires that he may have superiority over you, and if Allah had pleased, He could certainly have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our fathers of yore:

(40) Have you not considered (the work of) your Lord, how He extends the shade? And if He had pleased He would certainly have made it stationary; then We have made the sun an indication of it
