(51) So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates. That (shall be so); and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have exacted what is due from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others; and (as for) those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will by no means allow their deeds to perish.
(52) Certainly Allah was well pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance to you under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquillity on them and rewarded them with a near victory,
(53) If We pleased, We should have certainly made it broken down into pieces, then would you begin to lament:
(54) If We pleased, We would have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks?
(55) You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the latter day befriending those who act in opposition to Allah and His Apostle, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts He has impressed faith, and whom He has strengthened with an inspiration from Him: and He will cause them to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him these are Allah's party: now surely the party of Allah are the successful ones.
(56) Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you.
(57) Well-pleased because of their striving,
(58) Return to your Lord, well-pleased (with him), well-pleasing (Him),
(59) And he shall soon be well-pleased.
(60) Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased,
