(23) This is the hell with which you were threatened.

(24) And a believing man of Firon's people who hid his faith said: What! will you slay a man because he says: My Lord is Allah, and indeed he has brought to you clear arguments from your Lord? And if he be a liar, on him will be his lie, and if he be truthful, there will befall you some of that which he threatens you (with); surely Allah does not guide him who is extravagant, a liar:

(25) So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned.

(26) So leave them plunging into false discourses and sporting until they meet their day which they are threatened with.

(27) And he who says to his parents: Fie on you! do you threaten me that I shall be brought forth when generations have already passed away before me? And they both call for Allah's aid: Woe to you! believe, surely the promise of Allah is true. But he says: This is nothing but stories of the ancients.

(28) They said: Have you come to us to turn us away from our gods; then bring us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful ones.

(29) And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass.

(30) And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening.
