(54) Or do you think that most of them do hear or understand? They are nothing but as cattle; nay, they are straying farther off from the path.

(55) That We may give life thereby to a dead land and give it for drink, out of what We have created, to cattle and many people.

(56) And He Who gives me to eat and gives me to drink:

(57) One who had the knowledge of the Book said: I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye. Then when he saw it settled beside him, he said: This is of the grace of my Lord that He may try me whether I am grateful or ungrateful; and whoever is grateful, he is grateful only for his own soul, and whoever is ungrateful, then surely my Lord is Self-sufficient, Honored.

(58) And you see the mountains, you think them to be solid, and they shall pass away as the passing away of the cloud-- the handiwork of Allah Who has made every thing thoroughly; surely He is Aware of what you do.

(59) And Firon said: O chiefs! I do not know of any god for you besides myself; therefore kindle a fire for me, O Haman, for brick, then prepare for me a lofty building so that I may obtain knowledge of Musa's god, and most surely I think him to be one of the liars.

(60) Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, We believe, and not be tried?
