(31) Peace and salutation to nuh among the nations.

(32) The people of nuh and Ad, and Firon, the lord of spikes, rejected (apostles) before them.

(33) The people of nuh and the parties after them rejected (prophets) before them, and every nation purposed against their apostle to destroy him, and they disputed by means of the falsehood that they might thereby render null the truth, therefore I destroyed them; how was then My retribution!

(34) The like of what befell the people of nuh and Ad and Samood and those after them, and Allah does not desire injustice for (His) servants;

(35) He has made plain to you of the religion what He enjoined upon nuh and that which We have revealed to you and that which We enjoined upon Ibrahim and Musa and Isa that keep to obedience and be not divided therein; hard to the unbelievers is that which you call them to; Allah chooses for Himself whom He pleases, and guides to Himself him who turns (to Him), frequently.

(36) (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood,

(37) And the people of nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people.

(38) And the people of nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate;

(39) Before them the people of nuh rejected, so they rejected Our servant and called (him) mad, and he was driven away.

(40) And certainly We sent nuh and Ibrahim and We gave to their offspring the (gift of) prophecy and the Book; so there are among them those who go aright, and most of them are transgressors.
