(312) O you who believe! do not make friends with a people with whom Allah is wroth; indeed they despair of the hereafter as the unbelievers despair of those in tombs.

(313) That is Allah's grace; He grants it to whom He pleases, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace.

(314) Your possessions and your children are only a trial, and Allah it is with whom is a great reward.

(315) Except in the case of their wives or those whom their right hands possess-- for these surely are not to be blamed,

(316) Except to him whom He chooses as an apostle; for surely He makes a guard to march before him and after him,

(317) Leave Me and him whom I created alone,

(318) And We have not made the wardens of the fire others than angels, and We have not made their number but as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals.

(319) He makes whom He pleases to enter into His mercy; and (as for) the unjust, He has prepared for them a painful chastisement.

(320) The day on which the spirit and the angels shall stand in ranks; they shall not speak except he whom the Beneficent Allah permits and who speaks the right thing.
