(93) O ye who believe! Be Allah's helpers, even as Jesus son of Mary said unto the disciples: Who are my helpers for Allah? They said: We are Allah's helpers. And a party of the Children of Israel believed, while a party disbelieved. Then We strengthened those who believed against their foe, and they became the uppermost.

(94) That is because they believed, then disbelieved, therefore their hearts are sealed so that they understand not.

(95) Hath not the story reached you of those who disbelieved of old and so did taste the ill-effects of their conduct, and theirs will be a painful doom.

(96) That was because their messengers (from Allah) kept coming unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they said: Shall mere mortals guide us? So they disbelieved and turned away, and Allah was independent (of them). Allah is Absolute, Owner of Praise.

(97) (The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come.

(98) And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression.

(99) Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed,

(100) They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise,
