(31) There is no blame on the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) in that which Allah has made legal for him. That has been Allah's Way with those who have passed away of (the Prophets of) old. And the Command of Allah is a decree determined.

(32) Then when We decreed death for him [Sulaiman (Solomon)], nothing informed them (jinn) of his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his stick. So when he fell down, the jinn saw clearly that if they had known the Unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment.

(33) And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.

(34) Then He completed and finished from their creation (as) seven heavens in two Days and He made in each heaven its affair. And We adorned the nearest (lowest) heaven with lamps (stars) to be an adornment as well as to guard (from the devils by using them as missiles against the devils). Such is the decree of Him the All-Mighty, the All-Knower.

(35) Whosoever desires (by his deeds) the reward of the Hereafter, We give him increase in his reward, and whosoever desires the reward of this world (by his deeds), We give him thereof (what is decreed for him), and he has no portion in the Hereafter.

(36) Therein (that night) is decreed every matter of ordainments.

(37) As a Command (or this Qur'an or the decree of every matter) from Us. Verily, We are ever sending (the Messengers),

(38) We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of decrees).

(39) Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Qur'an) is he who is turned aside (by the decree and Preordainment القضاء والقدر of Allah).

(40) Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation as written in the Book of decrees Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz).
