(11) Had there been therein (in the heavens and the earth) alihah (gods) besides Allah, then verily both would have been ruined. glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Throne, (High is He) above all that (evil) they associate with Him!
(12) And (remember) Dhun-Nun (Jonah), when he went off in anger, and imagined that We shall not punish him (i.e. the calamities which had befallen him)! But he cried through the darkness (saying): La ilaha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O, Allah)], glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers."
(13) No son (or offspring) did Allah beget, nor is there any ilah (god) along with Him. (If there had been many gods), then each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! glorified be Allah above all that they attribute to Him!
(14) They will say: "glorified be You! It was not for us to take any Auliya' (Protectors, Helpers) besides You, but You gave them and their fathers comfort till they forgot the warning, and became a lost people (doomed to total loss).
(15) But when he came to it, he was called: "Blessed is whosoever is in the fire, and whosoever is round about it! And glorified be Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists).
(16) And your Lord creates whatsoever He wills and chooses: no choice have they (in any matter). glorified be Allah, and exalted above all that they associate (as partners with Him).
(17) They (the angels) will say: "glorified be You! You are our Wali (Lord) instead of them. Nay, but they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them."
(18) So glorified be He and exalted above all that they associate with Him, and in Whose Hands is the dominion of all things: and to Him you shall be returned.
(19) glorified be Allah! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him!
(20) glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him!
