(22) Unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He createth what He will. He bestoweth female (offspring) upon whom He will, and bestoweth male (offspring) upon whom He will;

(23) Or He mingleth them, males and females, and He maketh barren whom He will. Lo! He is Knower, Powerful.

(24) And they make the angels, who are the slaves of the Beneficent, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded and they will be questioned.

(25) O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware.

(26) Are yours the males and His the females?

(27) Lo! it is those who disbelieve in the Hereafter who name the angels with the names of females.

(28) And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female,

(29) And made of him a pair, the male and female.

(30) And Him Who hath created male and female,
