(21) Not a word does he (or she) utter but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it).

(22) And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this record) ready with me!"

(23) And everything they have done is noted in (their) records (of deeds).

(24) So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their records in their right hands) - how (fortunate) will be those on the Right Hand! (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise).

(25) And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their record in their left hands) - how (unfortunate) will be those on the Left Hand! (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell).

(26) O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will expiate from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) - the Day that Allah will not disgrace the Prophet (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and (with their records - Books of deeds) in their right hands. They will say: "Our Lord! Keep perfect our Light for us [and do not put it off till we cross over the Sirat (a slippery bridge over the Hell) safely] and grant us forgiveness. Verily, You are Able to do all things."

(27) Nun. [These letters (Nun, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the pen and by what they (the angels) write (in the records of men).

(28) Then as for him who will be given his record in his right hand will say: "Here! read my record!

(29) But as for him who will be given his record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my record!

(30) And all things We have recorded in a Book.
