(71) Certainly Allah was well pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance to you under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquillity on them and rewarded them with a near victory,

(72) When those who disbelieved harbored in their hearts (feelings of) disdain, the disdain of (the days of) ignorance, but Allah sent down His tranquillity on His Apostle and on the believers, and made them keep the word of guarding (against evil), and they were entitled to it and worthy of it; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.

(73) They used to sleep but little in the night.

(74) And gives a little and (then) withholds.

(75) Surely We sent upon them a stonestorm, except Lut's followers; We saved them a little before daybreak,

(76) Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would certainly have seen it falling down, splitting asunder because of the fear of Allah, and We set forth these parables to men that they may reflect.

(77) Say: He it is Who brought you into being and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts: little is it that you give thanks.

(78) And most surely you conform (yourself) to sublime morality.

(79) And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe;

(80) Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind.
