(41) Now surely they are in doubt as to the meeting of their Lord; now surely He encompasses all things.

(42) So leave them plunging into false discourses and sporting until they meet their day which they are threatened with.

(43) And it shall be said: Today We forsake you as you neglected the meeting of this day of yours and your abode is the fire, and there are not for you any helpers:

(44) So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates. That (shall be so); and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have exacted what is due from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others; and (as for) those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will by no means allow their deeds to perish.

(45) Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror):

(46) He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together:

(47) Surely I knew that I shall meet my account.

(48) Therefore Allah win guard them from the evil of that day and cause them to meet with ease and happiness;

(49) O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him.
