(22) Nay, He Who created the heavens and the earth, and sent down for you water from the cloud; then We cause to grow thereby beautiful gardens; it is not possible for you that you should make the trees thereof to grow. Is there a god with Allah? Nay! they are people who deviate.

(23) And were every tree that is in the earth (made into) pens and the sea (to supply it with ink), with seven more seas to increase it, the words of Allah would not come to an end; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise.

(24) But they turned aside, so We sent upon them a torrent of which the rush could not be withstood, and in place of their two gardens We gave to them two gardens yielding bitter fruit and (growing) tamarisk and a few lote-trees.

(25) He Who has made for you the fire (to burn) from the green tree, so that with it you kindle (fire).

(26) Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum?

(27) Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell;

(28) Surely the tree of the Zaqqum,

(29) Certainly Allah was well pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance to you under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquillity on them and rewarded them with a near victory,

(30) And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another,
