(36) Crying: Woe upon us! Who hath raised us from our place of sleep? This is that which the Beneficent did promise, and the messengers spoke truth.

(37) When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)?

(38) He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised;

(39) He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised.

(40) Is it they who apportion thy Lord's mercy? We have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of the world, and raised some of them above others in rank that some of them may take labour from others; and the mercy of thy Lord is better than (the wealth) that they amass.
