(81) Know that this world's life is only sport and play and gaiety and boasting among yourselves, and a vying in the multiplication of wealth and children, like the rain, whose causing the vegetation to grow, pleases the husbandmen, then it withers away so that you will see it become yellow, then it becomes dried up and broken down; and in the hereafter is a severe chastisement and (also) forgiveness from Allah and (His) pleasure; and this world's life is naught but means of deception.

(82) Have you not seen those who have become hypocrites? They say to those of their brethren who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book: If you are driven forth, we shall certainly go forth with you, and we will never obey any one concerning you, and if you are fought against, we will certainly help you, and Allah bears witness that they are most surely liars.

(83) On the day when the earth and the mountains shall quake and the mountains shall become (as) heaps of sand let loose.

(84) So when the sight becomes dazed,

(85) And the moon becomes dark,

(86) Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate.

(87) Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him?

(88) When the heaven becomes cleft asunder,

(89) And when the stars become dispersed,

(90) Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust upon their hearts.
