So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers.

(12) He has only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and any (food) over which the name of other than Allah has been invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(13) So make no haste against them, for We but count out to them a (limited) number (of days).

(14) But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;-

(15) "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!"

(16) Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden,

(17) And if any has not (the wherewithal), he should fast for two months consecutively before they touch each other. But if any is unable to do so, he should feed sixty indigent ones, this, that ye may show your faith in Allah and His Messenger. Those are limits (set by) Allah. For those who reject (Him), there is a grievous Penalty.

(18) O Prophet! When ye do divorce women, divorce them at their prescribed periods, and count (accurately), their prescribed periods: And fear Allah your Lord: and turn them not out of their houses, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open lewdness, those are limits set by Allah: and any who transgresses the limits of Allah, does verily wrong his (own) soul: thou knowest not if perchance Allah will bring about thereafter some new situation.

(19) We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),

(20) With thy Lord in the limit fixed therefor.
